New Patients
What to Expect
Our biggest goal is to help you achieve the healthy, straight, beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. We know starting orthodontic treatment is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to look and feel your best.
From your very first visit, our team will guide you every step of the way. We use the latest technology and offer a variety of safe, gentle options, so your care feels comfortable, effective, and personalized to your needs.
- Every Smile Starts with an Initial Consultation
Your first consultation is a chance to meet our team, learn about orthodontics, and find out which treatments may work best for you. During this visit, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Perform a complete oral exam, with X-rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Help you create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
We’ll answer all your questions and provide the information you need to decide on the right treatment.
- What Happens After the Initial Consultation? Once your consultation is complete, we’ll schedule your first appointment. At this visit, Dr. Crouse will place your new orthodontic appliance. It usually takes about an hour, and our team will be available to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.
- Scheduling Appointments
Visiting the orthodontist about every four to eight weeks is an essential part of your orthodontic treatment. Our practice will work with you to make sure your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know which days and times work best for you.
We understand that “life happens”. If you’re running late or need to reschedule, please give us a call, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice, and our friendly scheduling coordinator will be happy to help.
- Visiting the Dentist During Orthodontic Treatment It is very important to keep seeing your family dentist once every six months for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups during your orthodontic treatment. If you ever need extra dental care, we’ll coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best possible care.
Financial Information
The cost of your treatment will vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. We will discuss with you the cost of your treatment and each of your available payment options before you begin, so that you can make the best choice for you.
- Affordable Payment Plans
Your smile is yours for life, and we want to make it as easy as possible to receive the care you need. We accept most major credit cards and insurance plans, and our team will assist you with claims and paperwork.
We’ll work directly with your insurance provider to help maximize your benefits and keep your care within budget. Please let us know if you have any questions about your insurance coverage.
For added flexibility, we offer financing through CareCreditClick to open in a new tab, which allows you to spread payments out over time—with little to no interest—so you can start treatment without the stress of large upfront costs.
- Convenient Online Services
With the simple click of a mouse, our secure online service allows you to:
- View your appointment and account information anytime
- Sign up for email or text appointment reminders
